We were excited and honored to bring home four awards at this years IBMA awards show. We received two as a band: Emerging Artist of the Year and Instrumental Group of the Year. Ron and Adam also received awards individually. Adam for Mandolin Player of the Year and Ron for Banjo Player of the Year (which is shared with Kristin Scott Benson due to a tie)

Gospel recorded performence – In God’s Hands
Fiddle player of the year – Ron Stewart
Banjo Player of the year – Ron Stewart
Mandolin player of the year – Adam Steffey

The Boxcars want to invite you to tune in to Sirius/XM’s Bluegrass Junction this week and hear our “Track By Track” with Kyle Cantrell. It will air on Wednesday (10/27) at 11AM EST and will re-air on Thursday (10/28) at 9PM EST, Saturday (10/30) at 8AM EST, and once more on Sunday (10/31) at 11AM EST. We will play through the new album and talk with Kyle about the songs, recording process, and lots more.

Adam Steffey Wins Two! 2010 IBMA Awards!!!

Congratulations to The Boxcar’s own Adam Steffey for His wins at the 2010 IBMA Awards. Adam won in the categories of: Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year for Durang’s Hornpipe & Mandolin Player of the Year. All The Boxcars are very proud for his wins.
